Peter Dreher
Peter Dreher’s (1932-2020) pictures are not just beautiful repetitions, they are highly developed tools for attention. They give their viewers the freedom to develop and pursue their own goals with the attention they achieve while looking. The great traditions of art theory and the great ideas from art history, such as still lifes or minimal art, are important here: only those who are really attentive can see something like truth, can therefore then also act meaningfully, can be with themselves and in the world. Without attention, reality is lost.
